A re-reading of the travel diary “Die Insel Mallorca”, written by the German doctor and zoologist Hermann Alexander Pagenstecher in 1865, with the intention of reflecting on the romanticisation of the island of Mallorca.

An international project born out of the collaboration of three territories (Granollers, Calce, and Palma), exploring the concept of identity with a specific focus on the face.
This publication includes material from the short film "Experimento L. .AURA" by Fernando Colin: an examination of self-representation, archives, and the impact of technology, which has turned the face itself into a tool for control and recognition.

Photographs from the Planas Archive
Photographs from the Planas Archive. Casa Planas Cultural Centre is entrusted with the exclusive management of the rights to the Photographic Collection of the Planas Archive for dissemination and/or publication, total or partial reproduction, distribution, public communication, and transformation, in any medium or format, written, graphic, bibliographic, phonographic, audiovisual, telematic, multimedia, or computer, including broadcasting and retransmission, all of this in both analogue and digital modalities.
Consequently, anyone seeking any of the aforementioned rights must obtain the corresponding authorisation beforehand. Failure to do so will result in a violation of the Intellectual Property Law and may be subject to legal action.
Requesting a photograph, an image, or information from the photographic collection of the Planas Archive may be done for various reasons, such as:
- Personal or academic use
- Publication
- Exhibition
- Commercial use
However, it will entail a minimum cost starting from 300 euros + VAT.
In all cases items must be used exclusively for the purpose for which they have been granted prior permission and acknowledgement made of the source in the following manner-
For photographic sources @PlanasArchiveshould be placed alongside the image, together with the citation of the source as follows: Photographic Collection Planas Archive. Additionally, include the URL www.casaplanas.org
To consult the Planas Archive for one morning, a donation of 50€ is required.
If the image you were looking for is located and you want to use it, the 50€ will be deducted from the cost of the copyright of the image.
