Joan Aguiló

Fine Arts - Urban Art

(Palma de Mallorca, 1983) is a visual artist. He trained in illustration at the Escola Superior de Disseny de les Illes Balears and holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Universitat de Barcelona, complementing his studies in Mexico City and Berlin. During his time in the German capital, he became involved in Urban Art. Since then, he has taken ownership of public spaces where he develops his work. Through his pieces, we discover anonymous people to whom the artist captures a fleeting moment of their everyday lives. His work, which comes from a poetic perspective, seeks to represent local life, character, and the essence of the society in which he intervenes. His works fall within the street art genre, ranging from small-format pieces to large-format murals. His works can be found in Mallorca, Barcelona, Madrid, Stockholm, Copenhagen, London, Berlin, Lübeck, Salamanca, and Ripol, among other locations. He has worked for galleries such as Galeria Marimon, Galeria Vanrell, Ahoy Gallery, Gallery Brondo Architect, and Museu d’Art Contemporani Can Planes. He is the creator and artistic director of the Saladina Art Fest (urban art festival in Can Picafort) and currently resides in Palma de Mallorca.
