The Congress of the Observatory of Sustainable Tourism Culture // COSTA is presented as a platform for knowledge, interpretation and interdisciplinary dialogue to reimagine tourism from a critical and plural perspective. This meeting brings together researchers, artists and professionals from the sector to analyse the impact of tourism from an eco-social perspective. The congress seeks to generate new narratives that overcome the current extractivist model and propose responsible alternatives that integrate innovation, memory, ecology and social transformation.

The COSTA Observatory Congress is structured around four fundamental axes: the production of tourism knowledge from art and science, creation as a territory of radical imagination, sustainability as an ethical and ecological framework, and the exploration of new research methodologies such as the creation of a collective chair. We invite researchers, artists and professionals to submit proposals that address these lines from theoretical, practical and experimental perspectives, contributing to a fairer and more inclusive vision of tourism in the 21st century.

Call for oral communications

Timing and format: Presentations will take place on 23 October 2025 in an online format to accommodate contributions from different backgrounds.
