Mar Guerrero

Artist
She carries out site-specific projects in the fields of arts, humanities, and astronomy. Her research focuses on the symbolic relationships between reality and fiction, as well as ideas of error and failure in relation to historical schools of thought, whose continuity is perceptible in contemporary productive and visual consciousness.

She reflects on time, putting concepts like dispersion and speed in tension with duration and temporal experience. In doing so, she questions the use of spaces and objects, linking ideas of renewal and waste with those of reactivation and re-signification, working from seemingly insignificant elements and events.

She uses traces and remnants of a society in continuous change towards the new to conduct an archaeology of time, investigating through the memory of spaces.
