Lisa Tomanin

I am Lisa Tomanin, passionate about art, cultures and languages.

Thanks to my university studies in Hindi language and Indian culture I approached the art of henna which I have been researching and studying for many years.
Rojo Mehndi was born to keep alive this passion and closeness with the Indian culture, offering henna services to all people who have the tradition of henna in their culture and at the same time sharing this art with those who discover it for the first time... Until it officially became my job: first in the wedding and multicultural events sector and now, in parallel, in live and online training projects.

I use the technique of drawing with homemade henna cones with a personal style of very fine lines, based on the modern Indian style. Being a monochromatic technique, I like to play with contrasts and shadows, choosing mainly elements of nature and geometries.

I use the same technique to paint waste materials with acrylics: I love the art of recycling to give life back to glass containers, clothes and wood.
