Conference: The role of archives in contemporary creation<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Fundaci\u00f3 Casa Planas<\/strong> is inviting applications to participate in the Experience Panel at the conference The Role of Archives in Contemporary Creation, a program developed in conjunction with the Panor\u00e0mic Festival, which since 2023<\/strong> has been promoting spaces for reflection, exchange, and presentation of projects related to the artistic use of archives.<\/p>

In this edition<\/strong>, and thanks to the support of the Euroregion Pyrenees-Mediterranean<\/strong>the session will focus on projects linked to the territories of Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, and Occitania<\/strong>. The aim<\/strong> is is to activate archives<\/strong> as spaces for research, experimentation, and cultural production, generating networks between creators and institutions that work with memory, images, and documentary heritage.<\/p>

Who it is aimed at:<\/strong><\/p>

The call is aimed at artists, researchers, and cultural collectives<\/strong> who develop projects related to the use, activation, or reinterpretation of archives.<\/strong>
Projects that are in development or have been completed in the last four years are accepted<\/strong> provided that they propose an innovative approach to archives and maintain a connection with the Euroregional territory (Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, or Occitania).<\/p>

Fees<\/strong><\/p>

Ten projects will be selected.<\/strong>.
Each project will include a 15-minute oral presentation with visual support<\/strong> nd will receive a fee of \u20ac150<\/strong>in addition to being promoted on the festival's channels and those of the organizing entities.<\/p>

Dates<\/strong><\/p>

The selected projects will be presented in an online session on October 22, 2026<\/strong> as part of the COSTA Observatory Conference.<\/strong><\/p>
